Life for Praise
Wisdom is a gift from God, God gave us his son Christ, Christ gave his blood for our lives, For our lives, in return what have we given unto him? Was it that last thought of not wanting to get on your knees and pray, or was it the few scriptures that you have been reading every since you were a child? Was it the great sex that you had with your brother's wife or was it the selling of your child for some crack? Did you give him some of that new ten-percent increase you just got on your job? Did you take some time to say "thank you" yesterday before you ate that great meal with your family and friends? Oh I'm quite sure you gave him some praise when you drove off the lot with that new Lexus and truck you just got. Of course this morning when you woke up, and saw the bright sunshine you gave him some dap. Oh I know in exchange for your life, you gave him those fifteen minutes of meditational prayer that Deacon Johnson says so eloquently every Sunday. "Dear Lord, we ask that you continue to bless us, give us our daily bread, forgive us, have mercy on us....all these blessings and others we ask in your name...Amen. When did you ever stop to say thank you Lord for yesterday's daily bread, thank you Lord for waking me up, thank you Lord for keeping my throughout the year? In exchange for all the many blessings God has given to us, he just asked for some praise...and we couldn't even do that. [if !supportLineBreakNewLine] [endif]
